How One Number Pattern Changed My Life and My Productivity
During my first-ever #4DaySprint in February, I was so overwhelmed by a mind that wouldn’t stop, coupled with my ever-present fear for the direction America is heading in, that I relied heavily on the numbers 20, 4, 3, and 10. These numbers helped me stay focused and compartmentalize my ideas into actionable lists, timeframes, and next steps. These numbers came to the forefront organically for what I thought were random reasons, but then I started pondering why these four numbers were staying top-of-mind and discovered something interesting when I laid out the numbers in a string:
2 — — 0 — — 4 — — 3 — — 1 — — 0
These numbers can add up to or create 365 (3, 4 + 2, and 3 + 2).
They also include 24/7 (2, 4, 4 + 3).
What do these equations mean? Probably not much really, because I just manipulated the numbers to fit the 365 and 24/7 numbers we hear all the time since they are crucial to our calendar and timekeeping. What interested me more is WHY 20, 4, 3, and 10 were so important during my #4DaySprint and WHY I noticed that they can become both 365 and 24/7.
